Timanfaya National Park

One of Lanzarote's most popular attractions for visitors is Timanfaya National Park, which is around a 20 minute drive from the villa. Here you'll be able to take a coach tour around the volcano where you'll learn about the history of Timanfaya (and indeed Lanzarote), and you'll get to see some stunning and unusual landscapes, often referred to as "martian" landscapes, which is perhaps why the Planet of the Apes was filmed here.

There are also a number of natural geysers on the site, and when the staff pour a bucket of water into them, you'll hear a loud rumbling and see a large jet of steam burst out!

After the coach tour, we'd very much recommend paying a visit to their restaurant, El Diablo, which serves excellent food and drinks.
